fall presents four classes to help 情色五月天ns get on the path to more sustainable, local, healthy living by growing more of their own food.

The series features back-to-basics information for backyard or small-acreage edible gardening.

"Gardening doesn't end just because it's fall," said Melody Hefner, a member of the Cooperative Extension Horticulture Team. "There are many things you can do in fall to improve your garden for next spring."

The program runs 6-8 p.m., Tuesdays, Sept. 10 through Oct. 1. All classes will be held at the Cooperative Extension office in Reno, 4955 Energy Way. Some of the classes will also be available via interactive video in Battle Mountain, Carson City, Elko, Fallon, Gardnerville, Winnemucca and Yerington.

Along with Hefner, presenters include Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Volunteers Earstin Whitten and Michael Janik and Horticulture Specialist Heidi Kratsch.

Workshop topics include:

• Sept. 10: Growing Garlic
• Sept. 17: Fruit Tree Selection
• Sept. 24: Growing in Greenhouses
• Oct. 1: Garden Cleanup and Pest Prevention

. The class fee for those attending at the Cooperative Extension office in Reno is $15 per class or $30 for all four classes. The cost covers class supplies, materials and refreshments. Reno participants attending all four classes will also receive a USB flash drive containing gardening resources. Washoe County K-12 teachers and Master Gardeners in Reno receive a discount on registration cost.

Class fees in other locations vary. Residents should contact their local Cooperative Extension office for information on fees and which classes will be available. Persons in need of special accommodations or assistance should call at least three days prior to the scheduled event.
