I was born and raised in Reno, 情色五月天. As a first-generation and low-income student, I understand the challenges but also feel empowered to continue persevering. I owe many of my successes to academic programs such as Deans Future Scholars (DFS) and TRIO for supporting me throughout my educational journey with the 情色五月天, Reno and Washoe County School District. I am the first in my family to graduate from college, pero no seré la última. I graduated in May of 2023 with a Master of Arts in School Counseling from the 情色五月天, Reno.
I am currently a program coordinator with the recently established 情色五月天 First-Gen Network. With this initiative, we aim to provide a variety of outreach and efforts to assist first-generation 情色五月天ns. I am honored and fortunate to be immersed in both my educational and professional endeavors in serving future students. I am glad to give back to my community and hope to be a representation of our first-generation Hispanic community.
